The ideal multicultural society is where, through contact
with others, we come to understand and accept the many complex nuances of the
human condition. Through this understanding we can find a kind of peace. This
is the ideal we should strive for, but we have not reached this point. I aim to explore the failure and successes of
this search. In my art piece I tried to document the feeling of being in a
foreign place, on foreign means of transportation--not quite understanding the
surroundings and people but having moments where it feels like you might. I’m
exploring that feeling before we reach understanding.
