A Beautiful Crucible

The ideal multicultural society is where, through contact with others, we come to understand and accept the many complex nuances of the human condition. Through this understanding we can find a kind of peace. This is the ideal we should strive for, but we have not reached this point.  I aim to explore the failure and successes of this search. In my art piece I tried to document the feeling of being in a foreign place, on foreign means of transportation--not quite understanding the surroundings and people but having moments where it feels like you might. I’m exploring that feeling before we reach understanding.
