When I thought about what it means to be multicultural, the first thought that came to mind was cuisine. Although cultures are all different, food and sharing food is a large part of any lifestyle. For my sound art, I explored the sounds of different types of food places roughly within a 30 mile radius. By playing the sounds all within one track, one is able to see how diverse and multicultural one place in the United States can be.
