When thinking about the term multiculturalism, I think about music. When I studied abroad, each country had music, but more specifically drums. So I started recording some of the street performers. In Ireland I recorded the Bodhran Drum; in Ghana I recorded the Semester at Sea African drumming class perform with an assortment of drums; in the Caribbean I found the steel drums; and back home in Colorado I have heard the CU marching band.  So many countries around the world have a type of drum, and it is a connecting link.
